Research Shows that Novell Certifications Beat Microsoft and Lotus
What:
The Novell Certifications: Dare to Compare white paper provides a comparison of certification
programs from Novell®, Lotus® and Microsoft®.
The 20-page Dare To Compare white paper includes tables, graphs, charts and research results
that are critical to understanding the value of IT training and certification. The white paper is also available
in a four-page condensed brief format.
Why You Should Care:
IT training and education revenues will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 12.7 percent, from
$14.9 billion in 1995 to $27 billion in the year 2000 (IDC, 1996).
Job seekers and employees need credentials that demonstrate what they can offer and certification helps
both employers and their employees confidently integrate new and existing technologies.
Who Should Read:
All media who want to provide their readers with a comparison of the most popular training and
certifications available today.
Key Findings:
In March 1997, an analysis of major urban newspapers worldwide showed that 77 to 85 percent of all
advertisements placed for certified network professionals were for Novell professionals.
The number of Certified Novell Engineers (CNEs) needed to support users in existing Novell networks is
more than three times the number of CNEs that currently exist.
Novell CNEs receive, on average, an 18 percent increase in salary after completing certification.
