Novell Donates $500,000 in Training And Materials to 100 Secondary Schools

"Teach for Tomorrow" Grant Strengthens Technology In Communities While Creating Lifelong Learning Paths For Students, Educators

What:
Novell is proud to announce its Teach For Tomorrow Grant, giving 100 schools across North America the opportunity to become Novell-authorized Internal Campus Training (ICT) sites. Under the ICT program, schools have access to all Novell-authorized education materials at significantly reduced education prices. Under this grant, Novell will donate all training and materials necessary to become an ICT, valued at approximately $5,000 per school.

For each ICT site chosen, Novell will pay to train one Certified Novell Instructor (CNI). The CNI can then offer authorized Novell certification training, including the Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) certification, using exclusive Novell-authorized curriculum, to all teachers and faculty in their geographic area.

Who:
The potential ICT site must be a public or private secondary or post-secondary school located in the United States or Canada. Each site must have at least one classroom dedicated to computer training and must be geographically accessible to other secondary and/or post-secondary schools.

Why:
Novell, the first vendor to bring IT training to secondary-level schools, generates opportunities to meet the needs of educators around the world. Novell understands the process needed to make schools successful in technical training and designed the ICT program with the academic venue in mind. By training the school faculty first, Novell helps schools build the infrastructure to support consistent training for years to come. In doing so, these educators can prepare students to thrive and get jobs in a world of sophisticated technology. Novell certifications such as the CNA, CNE and Certified Internet Professional by Novell, ensure students are marketable in one of today's fastest growing careers.

Deadline:
