IBM and Novell Announce Upgrade Promotion Free IBM PC and IntranetWare License Included SOMERS, New York -- August 25, 1997 -- IBM and Novell today announced a special campaign allowing resellers to bring Internet and intranet solutions to their customers at a considerable cost savings. Any customer who purchases an IBM PC Server 704 or PC Server 330 with a minimum 25-user IntranetWare license will receive a free IBM PC 300GL (166MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology, 32Mb RAM, 2.5GB hard drive) and a free 25-user IntranetWare additive license upgrade. This limited-time promotion is effective through December 31, 1997. In addition, IntranetWare leverages the capabilities of NetWare Directory Services (NDS™) file and print, security, and management providing a scalable full-service business intranet. Because IntranetWare runs on an existing NetWare infrastructure, customers can preserve the value of their original network technology investment. Customers can purchase an IBM PC Server 704 or PC Server 330 with IntranetWare from any IBM or Novell business partner across the U.S. These business partners are authorized to provide full post-sales support.
