Web-Based Program for Gold and Platinum Partners Makes Closing Business Faster, Easier for
Network Solutions Providers
PROVO, Utah -- September 2, 1997 -- Novell. Inc. today announced Live
Leads, a new program for its Gold and Platinum resellers that makes it fast and easy for Novell
partners to identify and manage new business opportunities over the World Wide Web.
Live Leads enables participating channel partners to access and view up-to-date leads information
over the World Wide Web using any Web browser. An integrated contact management system allows
account managers and other reseller personnel to quickly download hot leads, assign them within their
organization, or reassign them back to the Web site where they can be used by other partners. This speeds
the entire process of identifying new opportunities and closing business.

The roll out of Live Leads follows Novell's announcement earlier this month of BorderManager Boot
Camp, a special event to provide channel partners with hands-on training in Novell's new Internet/intranet
management and security solution.
