Novell Delivers New Version of Novell Customer Connections

Offering More Flexibility to Major Accounts and New Opportunities for Business Partners

Bracknell, UK -- September 1, 1997 -- Novell® today announced the availability of the new version of Novell Customer Connections™ (Novell CC®) program across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The program encompasses V3.0 of the Corporate Licence Agreement (CLA) and the Volume Licence Agreement (VLA). It has been enhanced as part of Novell's commitment to deliver the best offering to major accounts and sales partners.

The CLA and VLA both benefit from a new Upgrade Protection program, which has been expanded to make the calculation of protection fees easier and faster. The revised Upgrade Protection continues to provide licensees with easy access to Novell product upgrades, while simplifying program sales and administration for Novell's Authorized Channel.

In addition, the CLA has been further enhanced with a new contract and delivery mechanism to improve ease-of-use for large and distributed organizations. It also offers unique flexibility in adding Education and Technical Services as purchase options under the standard program, allowing customers to customize the program to their specific requirements.

Craig Gilchrist, Major Account Programs Manager, Novell EMEA, commented: "We focus on consistently delivering the products, services and support that our customers need, as cost-effectively as possible. This third review of the CLA and VLA programs fulfills our objective to make all aspects of the acquisition and management of Novell software as straightforward as possible for our customers and sales partners."
