Novell Announces Resignation of Ian R. Wilson from Board of Directors
Provo, Utah March 17, 1998 Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ:NOVL) announced
that
Ian R. Wilson, 68, managing partner of Dartford Partnership, has resigned from the board of
directors of
Novell.
"We are appreciative of Ian's nine years of service," said Dr. Eric Schmidt, chairman of the board
chairman and chief executive officer at Novell. Wilson was first elected to the Novell board of
directors
in February 1989.
With the departure of Wilson, the company has six directors. In addition to Dr. Schmidt, the
Novell
board includes vice chairman John A. Young, retired CEO of Hewlett-Packard Company; Elaine
R.
Bond, retired Chase Fellow, Chase Manhattan Bank; Hans-Werner Hector, cofounder of SAP
AG; Jack
L. Messman, chairman and CEO of Union Pacific Resources Group; and Larry W. Sonsini,
member of
the law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati.
