Provo, Utah March 26, 1998 Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVL) today
announced
that Jacor Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: JCOR) has signed a Master License Agreement for
use of
multiple Novell products in a wide-area computer network linking Jacor's 196 radio stations in 49
broadcast areas across the United States. The agreement includes the purchase of 4,000-user
licenses for
Novell's intraNetWare network solutions platform and ManageWise network management
solution;
2,000-user licenses for Novell's NDS for NT and GroupWise e-mail and collaboration solutions;
and a
1,000- user license for Novell BorderManager Internet services.
Jacor will use the Novell software to enhance communication and collaboration across its
information
network; give sales people and station managers faster access to financial, marketing, and human
resources information; expand the use of the Internet for both internal and external
communications; and
provide centralized management with Novell Directory Services (NDS) for heterogeneous
information
resources.
"Given our recent and projected growth, Novell software is a valuable asset that allows us to
manage and
expand a wide-area network encompassing many different radio stations, computer platforms,
applications, and services," said Steven Gable, Jacor director of information technology. "By
using
Novell software and NDS in our network, we're able to intelligently manage our rapid growth
while
taking full advantage of NT Server, HP UNIX servers, and a broad range of Internet and intranet
services."

announced
pending acquisitions, Jacor now owns, operates or represents 196 radio stations in 49 broadcast
