Novell Offers Big Savings On SNA Gateway Upgrade

Novell, Inc. today announced a special upgrade promotion and pricing for intraNetWare™ for SAA 3, today's most scalable, secure and reliable platform for integrating IBM hosts with business networks, intranets and the Internet. The product features complete TCP/IP compatibility and Year 2000 readiness, enabling companies to adopt emerging Internet technologies and provide continued access to host-based data beyond the turn of the century. In addition, the product delivers the 32-bit performance associated with NetWare, ensuring faster and more scalable access to mainframe-based information. The promotion adds to Novell's product-driven momentum, reducing the cost of intelligent network solutions based on Internet technologies and enabled by NDS™, Novell's industry-leading directory service. intraNetWare for SAA is co-developed by Novell -- the provider of NetWare and best-of-breed network services, and IBM -- the originator of SNA and the world leader in enterprise computing solutions.

When:
The competitive upgrade pricing for intraNetWare for SAA 3 is effective immediately worldwide for users of third-party DOS-based gateways in NetWare environments. The product is available in 10-, 25-, 50-, 125-, 250-, 500- and 1,000-user packages at discounted rates ranging from $995 for 10 users to $31,995 for 1,000 users. Customers using DOS-based gateways can register to receive intraNetWare for SAA 3.0 through any authorized Novell reseller or international equivalent. Customers should contact the reseller for a Novell Upgrade Registration Form which, along with proof of purchase of their original gateway, will be used to fulfill the upgrade.
