Novell Announces New NDS Technical Support Tool LogicSource for NDS Provides In-depth Explanations of Concepts, Processes and Operations Unique to NDS PROVO, Utah -- Aug 06, 1998 -- Novell, Inc. today announced the release of LogicSource™ for Novell Directory Services™ (NDS™), the most comprehensive technical support resource ever written for any network directory service. More than 1500 pages of technical specifications, hypertext links and detailed instructions on how to perform functions and procedures unique to NDS are included in one convenient CD. LogicSource for NDS enables users to identify, resolve and avoid error codes to maximize the unique benefits of NDS, making it an essential resource for anyone who manages or supports NDS-enabled networks. LogicSource follows the logic flow of NDS and presents in-depth explanations of the concepts, processes and operations that make NDS the world's leading networking directory. The tool is designed to help manage and support NetWare®4.x NDS environments by providing descriptions of common error codes to help users learn why they occur and how to avoid them in the future. A version for soon-to-be- released NetWare 5 is in the works. Mastery Training Series To introduce customers to LogicSource for NDS, a mastery training series will be taught in twelve U.S. cities. The two-day course will cover NDS system design and integration; installation and configuration; troubleshooting techniques; and how best to use the LogicSource for NDS CD. Cost for the training is US $800 and includes a copy of LogicSource for NDS, a two-hour training video, course materials and lunch. Novell recommends that attendees have Certified Novell Engineer® certification with NetWare 4.x training and have had moderate experience with NDS.
