Media Invited to Attend Novell Activities at ISPCon

See a 10,000 Hit Per Second Web Server Accelerator in Action

Novell, Inc. will be showcasing exciting new directory-powered BorderManager solutions that ISPs can use to improve margins and expand services:
  • Come see a web server accelerator maintain 10,000 hits per second in the Novell booth

  • Check out Novell's solution to every ISP's multiple directory and customer database nightmare, including single point of administration for the ISP and single sign-on for their customers

In addition to the booth demonstrations, Drew Major, Novell's chief scientist and vice president of advanced development, will deliver a presentation on "Advanced Caching Opportunities for Internet Service Providers." Mr. Major's talk will include information on new caching capabilities that enable the next wave of enhanced services and revenue streams for ISPs.

When/Where:

ISPCon '98 runs from September 28 through October 1, 1998 at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. The demonstrations of caching technology and enhanced services will be available in the Novell booth for attendees to see throughout the show.

Drew Major's presentation on "Advanced Caching Opportunities for ISPs" will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 1:30- 2:30 in room J2.

Novell will continuously demonstrate its 10,000 hits per second web server accelerator. This incredible performance is achieved by BorderManager FastCache in concert with a Compaq ProLiant 7000 Xeon server, an Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Server Adapter, and a Packet Engines PowerRail 5200 Enterprise Routing Switch.
