Media Alert Novell Introduces Novell® SQL Integrator for NetWare® 4 and 5 Novell Improves Access to Information in Databases Across Multiple Platforms Novell, Inc. today released the public beta version of Novell SQL Integrator, a database access and integration solution that leverages NetWare, Novell's server operating system. The combination of NetWare and Novell SQL Integrator allows Oracle and other database customers to optimize Novell's application server platform for developing, managing and deploying database applications and enables them to more effectively utilize corporate information by providing transparent access to data, regardless of its location, database type or platform.
Who: Novell, Inc.What: Novell SQL Integrator accelerates database application development by allowing applications to integrate the data managed by Windows NT, and UNIX databases anywhere on the network. In addition, the solution enables high-performance data access via Java and Web applications and across multiple platforms. Novell SQL Integrator provides access to database products developed by the industry's largest database vendors. Products supported include Oracle, Informix, Sybase, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access and flat file databases.

When: The Novell SQL Integrator beta can be downloaded free on Novell's Web site at http://support.novell.com/beta/public. The final version of the product will be available through Novell distributors, reseller partners and through licensing agreements after beta testing is completed in Q1 1999. Pricing has not yet been determined.
