Novell Consolidated Support Pack Available on CD and Online

Novell, Inc., the world's leading provider of directory-enabled networking software and services, today announced the release of the Novell® Consolidated Support Pack (NCSP), a collection of support packs for key Novell products which have been tested and released together. The NCSP CD — which will save the time needed to download large files from the Internet — has been distributed free to all Novell Support Connection® CD subscribers and will be distributed free to customers and partners with the Novell Software Connection Library (NSCL) and the CNESM Product Link in July 1999.

Those who don't subscribe to one of these three products can purchase the NCSP CD at http://support.novell.com/csp for US$39. U.S. customers can also order the CD at shopnovell® (http://shop.novell.com).

What:

The Novell Consolidated Support Pack's purpose is to provide customers with compatible support solutions from one source that have been tested and released together.

• The NCSP is even safer and more reliable because the support packs have been tested together, thus increasing stability and reducing conflicts.
• The availability of the NCSP on CD will eliminate searching and download time previously needed to find many packs on the Internet, especially for customers who have multiple products.
• The support pack will provide solutions for critical customer service issues.
• The first NCSP contains patches and fixes for NetWare® 5, NetWare 4 and ManageWise®. Future releases will contain support packs for all Novell products.
