NetWare 5 Wins World Class Award from PC World

Awards and Accolades Continue for NetWare 5

NEW YORK (PC Expo) - June 22, 1999 — Further confirming Novell's position as the leading network software provider, PC World has named NetWare® 5 the 1999 World Class Award Winner for Best Network Operating System. Novell® will receive the award at a special ceremony at PC Expo on June 23.

PC World editors judged products based on performance, value, consistency and innovation in categories ranging from hardware to networking. "The biggest networking noise came from Novell NetWare 5," PC World editors said. "It runs natively over TCP/IP and has improved network directory services — a feature that NT won't support until Windows 2000."

"We're thrilled that PC World has joined the many top industry publications in recognizing NetWare 5 as the leading network operating system on the market today," said Brian Faustyn, director of product marketing for NetWare. "NetWare 5 customers have come to appreciate the performance, reliability, scalability and security found in the leading, directory-based network operating system. The success of NetWare 5 is surpassing all expectations."
