Novell Certificate Server 2.0 Now Available in Open Beta Security Solution Provides Foundation for Secure Electronic Commerce Transactions, Improves Existing Novell Directory Services Investments Who: Novell, Inc., the world's leading provider of directory-enabled networking software. What: Novell, Inc. today [Sept. 29, 1999] announced the open-beta availability of Novell® Certificate Server™, the most recent addition to Novell's arsenal of security solutions based on Novell Directory Services® (NDS®). Novell Certificate Server 2.0 allows companies to protect their greatest asset -- information. With Novell Certificate Server, companies can easily manage, send and receive encrypted e-mail and transactions, securing confidential business information. This security functionality builds on Public Key Infrastructure Services (PKIS) 1.0, which was first introduced with NDS last year. Novell Certificate Server 2.0 ensures that individuals or applications are who they say they are, blocking unauthorized individuals from viewing confidential information.
