PROVO, Utah — Sept. 30, 1999 — Novell, Inc. today announced that Christopher Stone, senior vice president of Strategy and Corporate Development, is leaving the company effective Oct. 15 to found an Internet startup company focused on directory-enabled applications for business-to-business e-commerce. The new firm, Network Decisions, will be based in Concord, Mass., and New York City.

"The direction of Chris Stone's new venture will support Novell's momentum into Internet services and e-commerce," said Dr. Eric Schmidt, Novell Chairman and CEO.
