PROVO, Utah - October 8, 2001 - Supporting more than 3,000 employees and four airports that serve more than 85 million passengers each year, the City of Chicago Department of Aviation was challenged with reducing the time and expense its limited IT staff spent driving from airport to airport, distributing computer applications and addressing customer needs. The Department of Aviation oversees management of airports throughout the Chicago area, including O’Hare International, Midway, Meigs Field and Chicago Gary, while supporting IT needs with a small staff of seven support technicians.
