08/06/2002 — Kernel 2.4.18 is certified by SAP for the deployment of mySAP systems on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 7, enabling businesses to benefit from the latest innovations in Linux development. In addition to support for Intel's new Foster hardware, kernel 2.4.18 provides many drivers for the latest RAID, SCSI, and network devices.

Users of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 7 receive the new Update kernel by way of a password-protected Internet area (SUSE Linux Maintenance Web) or on CD within the scope of the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Update Service.
