PROVO, UT - Feb. 4, 2003 — How is identity management evolving with the advent of Web services, and how will companies deploy identity management infrastructures in a Web services world?

Justin Taylor, chief strategist for directory services at Novell, will address these questions and more during his keynote presentation, "The Evolution of Identity Management in a Web Services World," at The Open Group Conference on Feb. 5, 2003, in San Francisco. In addition to his keynote, Taylor will also deliver a presentation on Novell's approach to secure identity management and participate in a panel discussion during the conference's Identity Management Implementation Strategies session.

The Open Group Conference will focus on the security aspects of "boundaryless information," comprising an agenda of high profile industry speakers including IT customers, security system suppliers and representatives from the leading consortia. Day three of the conference will highlight the increasingly critical role of identity management in today's IT strategies, beginning with Taylor's keynote.

Through his role as chief strategist and co-visionary behind the roadmap for Novell eDirectory, Taylor is influential in helping to shape the industry's vision of directory services and identity management in the future. Taylor is Novell's chief representative to numerous standards organizations and the Liberty Alliance.
