PROVO, Utah — 19 June 2003 — Novell has been named by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP) as having one of the top 10 Web support sites in the industry. Reflecting excellence in their online service and support offerings, the "Ten Best Web Support Sites" award winners were selected by a panel of judges with expertise in Web support design and implementation. Winners were judged using a scoring system based on 25 separate performance criteria that covered, among others:

  • Overall usability, design, and navigation
  • Knowledgebase and search implementation
  • Interactive features
  • Personalization

"Congratulations to Novell for its success in this increasingly competitive arena," ASP executive director Jeffrey Tarter said. "Support has become an important competitive differentiator for technology companies, and firms like Novell are clearly investing heavily in Web support these days. This shows in the increased interactivity and personalization in Web support lately, which improves on ease of use and lets customers address problems quickly and effectively, on their own timeline."

The ten winning sites, which also included industry leaders like Dell Computer and Hewlett Packard, will be profiled in a book-length report that the ASP will publish in August. Additional information is available at http://www.asponline.com/awards.html
