07/14/2003 — Apart from the productive system SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 for AMD64 with system maintenance under the SUSE Linux Maintenance Program, a beta version of SUSE Linux 8.2 Professional without support is now available for download as technical preview.

Immediately after the availability of AMD's 64-bit workstation processor Athlon 64 in autumn, SUSE will present a suitable SUSE Linux version.

The ISO images and installation instructions are available on mirrors of ftp.suse.com or directly at

ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86-64/8.2-beta/
