In the IT world, each decade has brought its own ground-breaking innovation --
each causing a revolutionary leap forward. The 70s were the decade of
IBM's S360 architecture. In the 80s, Microsoft and Intel changed the world
with the PC. In the 90s, Sun introduced server-centric computing. Now, open
source development is changing things again.
In his keynote "The Linux Decade" at LinuxWorld Expo in Frankfurt, SUSE
LINUX CEO Richard Seibt argues that open source development is the quantum
leap that will revolutionize the whole IT landscape.
