08/28/2003 SUSE Linux, based in Nuremberg, Germany, was named one of Germany's most
popular places to work in the latest edition of the "Absolventenbarometer"
(Graduate Barometer) -- published by the HR marketing agency "trendence".
The Absolventenbarometer 2003 is based on a survey conducted with 5,136
prospective computer scientists from March to June of this year. Students
considered collegiality and job responsibilities as being the key factors
when choosing an employer.
SUSE Linux ranked seventh among the 100 most important IT employers in
Germany. On the popularity list, companies like Microsoft and Sun were behind
SuSE. Only Siemens, IBM, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, SAP, DaimlerChrysler, and
the BMW Group were more popular among graduates.
