08/28/2003 — SUSE Linux, based in Nuremberg, Germany, was named one of Germany's most popular places to work in the latest edition of the "Absolventenbarometer" (Graduate Barometer) -- published by the HR marketing agency "trendence".

The Absolventenbarometer 2003 is based on a survey conducted with 5,136 prospective computer scientists from March to June of this year. Students considered collegiality and job responsibilities as being the key factors when choosing an employer.

SUSE Linux ranked seventh among the 100 most important IT employers in Germany. On the popularity list, companies like Microsoft and Sun were behind SuSE. Only Siemens, IBM, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, SAP, DaimlerChrysler, and the BMW Group were more popular among graduates.
