PROVO, Utah Jan. 27, 2004 — UnitedLinux was created to build a single, world-wide Linux standard that customers and partners could work with for world-class, enterprise deployment of Linux.

We believe that we achieved the desired impact. Many IHVs and ISVs joined the UnitedLinux initiative -- providing customers with a real choice of Linux environments.

We believe that the mission of UnitedLinux HAS been accomplished. We will continue to work with UnitedLinux partners to support the UnitedLinux 1.0 product throughout its lifecycle.
