1.0 Overview
The Novell® Identity Manager Resource Kit is a set of components designed to accelerate the deployment and to increase the quality of real-world business solutions based on the Novell Identity and Security Management software stack. The primary purpose of the Resource Kit is to provide partners and system integrators a repeatable way to implement an Identity Manager solution quickly, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. Figure 1-1 is a graphical representation of the Resource Kit.

The Resource Kit contains:

A ready-to-deploy virtual machine that provides a complete enterprise-level identity solution.

Configuration templates to use with a custom identity solution.

Templates that contain complete solution configurations to quickly start new projects.

Documentation that contains best practices, guidelines, and solutions for a custom Identity Manager deployment.

A unique test and business policy re-attestation harness.
