Task In Novell iManager

Viewing information about a partition

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > View Partition Information.

Splitting a partition (creating a child partition)

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Create Partition.

Merging a child partition with its parent partition

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Merge Partition.

Moving a partition

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Move Partition.

Managing Replicas

Task In Novell iManager

Viewing replication information

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Replica View.

Adding a replica

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Replica View > specify a partition or Server object > click OK > Add Replica.

Deleting a replica

Click Roles and Tasks button > eDirectory Maintenance Utilities > Replica Repair > specify a server > click Next > authenticate to the server > click Next > Advanced > Destroy the Selected Replica.

Replicating selected data only

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Replica View > specify a partition or Server object > click OK > Edit.

Configuring a filtered replica

Click Roles and Tasks button > Partition and Replica Management > Replica Wizard.
