Java Console for DNS and DHCP Services

Download and Installation Instructions

This download contains the Java Management Console to manage Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Services on Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2 SP3 and OES 11 servers.

  1. On the Java Console download page, click download button next to the required file to begin the download.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to save the file to a directory on your computer.

  1. After downloading the required file, extract or unzip the files.
  2. For 32-bit windows, run setup.exe from the extracted files. Follow the on-screen instructions. The Install Shield guides you through the rest of the setup process.
  3. For 64-bit windows, launch Java Console using the DNSDHCP.exe file in the unzipped folder.

  1. After downloading the required file, untar these files using the tar -xzvf <filename> command.
  2. The appropriate RPMs for these files are untarred. The 32-bit RPM is novell-dnsdhcp-jc-1.0.1-0.6.i586.rpm and the 64-bit RPM is novell-dnsdhcp-jc-1.0.1-0.6.x86_64.rpm.
  3. Install the Java Console with the rpm -ivh <rpm name> command.
