To grant a user security equivalence to an object

1. Right-click the User object or the object that you want the user to be security equivalent to click Properties.
2. If you selected the User object, click Memberships Security Equal To Add select the object that you want the user to be security equivalent to click OK.
3. If you selected the object that you want the user to be security equivalent to, click Security Equal to Me Add select the user click OK.
4. In the Properties dialog box, click OK.

The membership lists on the Security Equal To page and the Security Equal To Me page are kept synchronized by the system. You don't need to explicitly grant the user security equivalence to the Groups and Organizational Roles that he or she belongs to, or to the [Public] trustee or any container above the user in the tree, because the user is already security equivalent to these objects by default.
