You might want to leave a message such as status condition notes of your News Server for other administrators who help to maintain your server. The administrators will not receive the message of the day by e-mail. They must access the Message of the Day field through the News Server interface to view the message.
To specify a message of the day:
From the General Administration page, click the News Server server name button > Server Preferences > Message of the Day.
Type the message.
Click OK.
