Controlling Access with NDS

If you are using Novell Directory Services (NDS), you set up access control through NetWareTM Administrator. Use the NDS objects you have already created and then grant rights to the discussion group directories.

Be certain that your users or group are in the context specified in the Configure Directory Service form of the NetWare Web Manager (Global Settings > Configure Directory Service). If your users or group are in a subcontext of the context listed on this form, they must specify this additional context when authenticating to the discussion group.

For example, if the context listed in the Configure Directory Service form is DOC, a user who is in the Writers Organizational Unit under DOC must authenticate to the discussion group by typing username.writers.
