4.12 Configuring Folder Columns

4.12.1 Showing and Hiding Columns

By default, these columns are available:

  • Title: Displays the title of the file.

  • Comments: Displays how many comments have been made on the file.

  • Size: Displays the file size of the file.

  • Author: Displays the author of the file.

  • Date: Displays when the file was last modified or commented on.

To show or hide table columns in a folder:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you want to show or hide the table columns.

  2. Click the Configure icon in the upper right corner of the page next to the filter, then click Edit Column Layout.

  3. In the Show column, select the columns that you want to show and deselect the columns that you want to hide.

  4. (Optional) Select Set as default folder columns for all users if you want all users to see only the columns that you have selected.

  5. Click OK.

4.12.2 Renaming Columns

  1. Navigate to the folder where you want to rename the table columns.

  2. Click the Configure icon in the upper right corner of the page next to the filter, then click Edit Column Layout.

  3. In the Custom Label column, specify the new column name in the available field.

  4. (Optional) Select Set as default folder columns for all users if you want all users to see the column names that you have specified.

  5. Click OK.

4.12.3 Changing the Column Order

  1. Navigate to the folder where you want to change the order of the table columns.

  2. Click the Configure icon in the upper right corner of the page next to the filter, then click Edit Column Layout.

  3. Select the radio button on the left side of the table for the column whose order you want to change.

  4. Click the Up Arrow and Down Arrow icons in the Order area to move the column up or down.

  5. (Optional) Select Set the default folder columns for everyone if you want all users to see the column order that you have defined.

  6. Click OK.

4.12.4 Adjusting the Column Width

  1. Navigate to the folder where you want to adjust column widths.

  2. Click the Configure icon in the upper right corner of the page next to the filter, then click Edit Column Sizes.

  3. In the Resize column, click and drag the arrow icons to resize each column. You can see the columns resize in real time.

    Adjust the numbers in the Size column for each column that you want to resize, then use the Unit column to specify whether the numbers represent pixels or percent.

    If all the column widths are set to a fixed pixel value, the rightmost column is automatically overridden to use 100%.

  4. Click OK.

4.12.5 Restoring Column Defaults

You can restore the column defaults if you have made changes to the columns that you no longer want to retain.

  1. Navigate to the folder where you want to restore the defaults for columns.

  2. Click the Configure icon in the upper right corner of the page next to the filter, then click Edit Column Layout.

  3. Click Restore Default Settings.
