2.5 What’s New (OES 2 SP3)

In addition to bug fixes, the following file access features were added for the OES 2 SP3 release.

2.5.1 Files and Folders Plug-in to iManager

Move and rename options were added for the Files and Folders plug-in to iManager. For information, see the following:

2.5.2 NCP Volumes on XFS File System

NCP volumes have been fully tested on the XFS file system. NCP volumes are supported on the Linux POSIX file systems Ext3, XFS, and ReiserFS.

2.5.3 Novell Client 2 SP3 for Linux

The Novell Client 2 SP3 for Linux supports SLES 10 SP3 and OES 2 SP3 Linux. For information, see the Novell Client 2.0 SP3 for Linux Administration Guide.

2.5.4 Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows

Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows added support for Windows 7. For information, see the Novell Client 2 for Windows Vista/2008 Administration Guide.

2.5.5 Novell CIFS

Novell CIFS added support for the merged view of Dynamic Storage Technology volumes that are configured with NSS volumes. For information, see the OES 2 SP3: Novell CIFS for Linux Administration Guide.

2.5.6 Novell FTP
