Online Update is used to get patches and updates for the Appliance.

(Optional) Specify a path to the SSL certificate for encrypting communications with the server in SSL cert URL.
(Optonal) Specify a Namespace path to enable the client to use the staging group. Do not specify any vale if you want to use the default production repositories.
Click Register.
Select Micro Focus Customer Center in the Register Online Update Service dialog.
Enter your Email address and Activation key to register.
(Optional) You can share information with Micro Focus Customer Center by selecting Hardware Profile and/or Optional Information in the Allow Data send field. Selecting Hardware Profile shares your hardware information. Selecting Optional Information shares information such as host type, product version, release, architecture, timezone, and processor.
Click Register.
Once you are register for online updates, you need to set a schedule for the updates to be downloaded. To set an update schedule:
Click the Schedule drop-down and select Manual, Daily, Weekly, or Monthy. If you select Manual, the appliance immediately downloads all available patches. If you select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, select All needed Patches or Security Patches Only to set the level of patches to apply.
(Optional) Specify whether to Automatically agree with all license agreements and Automatically install all interactive patches.
Within 15 minutes after you apply a recurring schedule (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly), the Appliance downloads and install the level of patches you have chosen. If you change the scheduled interval, the Appliance once again downloads the level of patches after 15 minutes.
The schedule you set can dynamically change if the update check can’t happen at the schedule time for any reason. The system then waits and checks as soon as it can. The Appliance then changes to schedule to be when it was able to run the online update check.
