Installations

The Installations panel shows the devices on which the discovered product is installed. It also lets you ignore specific device installations if desired.

The following information is provided for each installation included in the list:

You can perform the following tasks to manage the installations list.

Filter the Installations list

  1. In the Search panel, specify the criteria to use for filtering the list. An installation must match all defined criteria to be displayed.

    Machine Name: Specify the text that the machine name must include. This is a partial match field that is case-insensitive. If the text you enter is included in any part of a machine name, the product matches the criteria.

    Department: Select a specific department, or select Any to match any department.

    Cost Center: Select a specific cost center, or select Any to match any cost center.

    Site: Select a specific site, or select Any to match any site.

    Install Status: Select one of the following to match:

    • Any: Match all installations.

    • Ignored Installations: Match only ignored installations.

    • Recognized Installations: Match only the recognized installations.

    Usage Status: Select one of the following to match:

    • Any: Match any installation.

    • With Usage: Match installations s for which active usage is recorded.

    • Without Usage: Match installations for which no active usage is recorded.

  2. Click Search to apply the search criteria and filter the list.

 

Ignore installations

  1. Select the check box next to the device whose installation you want to ignore.

  2. Click Action > Ignore Installations.

Recognize an ignored installation

  1. Select the check box next to the device with the ignored installation.

  2. Click Action > Recognize Installations.

 

Update usage time period

  1. Click Action > Update usage time period.

  2. Select a new usage period.

  3. Click OK.

The usage time period is displayed above the Installations panel.
