The following sections describe the new features and enhancements in Novell ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management with Interim Release 1 (IR1):

10.2.1 ZENworks Linux Management Server Support for SLES 10 SP3

ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management with IR1 supports the server components on SLES 10 SP3 on the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) architectures (Intel EMT64 and AMD Opteron processors).

10.2.2 Support for New Platforms as Managed Devices

ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management with IR1 lets you manage the following devices:

  • SLES 10 SP3 on the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) architectures running on Intel EMT64, AMD Opteron, PPC, IPF, and zSeries processors

  • RHEL 5.2 on the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) architectures

  • RHEL 5.3 on the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) architectures

  • RHEL 4AS on the s390 and x390x architectures

  • RHEL 5.3 on the zSeries (s390x) architecture

10.2.3 Mirroring Red Hat Updates from the NU Repository

ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management with IR1 lets you mirror the Red Hat updates available in the RES channels from the NU repository by using a YUM subscription and updating the RHEL devices.
