If the server where you are planning to install GroupWise Mobile Server has Apache* and Tomcat running on it, you must stop them before installing GroupWise Mobile Server.
The Secure Gateway Module of GroupWise Mobile Server automatically uses the same port numbers that Apache is configured with. Initially, the Secure Gateway is installed on the same server where you perform the GroupWise Mobile Server installation, but it can be installed later on additional Linux servers, as described in Section 3.8.3, Installing the Secure Gateway on Additional Linux Servers
If you want to continue to run Apache and Tomcat on the same server where you are installing GroupWise Mobile Server, some post-installation reconfiguration is required, as described in Section 3.8.4, Running Apache on the Same Server with the Secure Gateway
Download the GroupWise Mobile Server 3.0.1 for Linux compressed tar file (gms301_linux.tar.gz) from the Novell Downloads Web site to a temporary directory on your Linux server.
In a terminal window, change to the temporary directory, then use the following command to extract the gms301_linux.tar.gz file into the temporary directory:
tar -xvzf gms301_linux.tar.gz
Become root by entering su - and the root password.
Change to the gms301_linux directory:
cd gms301_linux
To start the installer, enter the following command:
sh ims.bin
Click
then input your license key.You can use the following license key to install the evaluation version of GroupWise Mobile Server for Linux:

The GroupWise Mobile Server for Linux software is installed to the /opt/ims directory on your Linux server.
If the server where you are planning to install the Palm OS Patch has Apache and Tomcat running on it, you must stop them before installing the Palm OS Patch.
Create a backup of opt/ims/lib/pim/pim.jar by copying the file to another location on your server.
In the temporary directory where you downloaded GroupWise Mobile Server 3.0.1, change to the PalmOSClientPatch/lib/pim directory
Copy the pim.jar file to /opt/ims/lib/pim directory on your server.
If the server where you are planning to install the Symbian Client Patch has Apache and Tomcat running on it, you must stop them before installing the Symbian Client Patch.
In the /opt/ims/clientinstalls/SyncClient directory create a backup of the *.xml files and the directories Symbian60V30, Symbian60V31, and Symbian60V32.
In the temporary directory where you downloaded GroupWise Mobile Server 3.0.1, change to the SymbianClientPatch/ClientInstalls/SyncClient directoy.
Copy the *.xml files and the Symbian60V30, Symbian60V31, and Symbian60V32 directories to the /opt/ims/clientinstalls/SyncClient directory on your server.
