4.6 GroupWise Internet Agent Installation Worksheet

The following table lists the information you are prompted to provide as you complete the Internet Agent installation

1) Software Platform

Select the type of server where you will install the Internet Agent.

2) Installation Options

Windows Options:

  • Install as Windows Service

Specify the server path where you want the Internet Agent files installed.

If you selected NetWare as the Internet Agent’s platform under item 1, see Section 4.3.9, NetWare Installation Options: Automatic Startup and Clustering for more information.

If you selected Linux as the Internet Agent’s platform under item 1, see Section 4.3.10, Linux Installation Options: LDAP Information and Clustering for more information.

If you selected Windows as the Internet Agent’s platform under item 1, see Section 4.3.11, Windows Installation Options: Service vs. Application and SNMP Traps for more information.

3) Server Information

Specify the network address of the server where the Internet Agent will run.

If you want the Internet Agent and the MTA to communicate by way of TCP/IP, specify 7102 or another available port number. If you do not want to use TCP/IP, specify 0 (zero) to disable TCP/IP communication.

4) Web Console Information

Specify whether or not you want to enable the Internet Agent Web console. The Web console allows you to monitor the operation of the agent through a Web browser.

Mark how you want the Internet Agent to handle outbound messages from GroupWise users to Internet users.

6) GroupWise Domain

Specify the domain name and the domain directory where you want to create a subdirectory for the Internet Agent.

On Linux, specify the eDirectory context of the Domain object.

7) GroupWise Internet Agent Name

Specify a name for the GroupWise Gateway object that will be created in eDirectory to represent the Internet Agent.

8) Internet Mail Domain Name

Specify the Internet domain name assigned to your GroupWise system.

For more information, see Section 4.3.6, Specifying the Internet Mail Domain Name for Your GroupWise System.

9) LDAP Authentication

This item applies to the Linux Internet Agent only.

List the IP address and port of an LDAP server in your system and the username and password that the Internet Agent Installation program can use to log in to eDirectory to create the Internet Agent object. If you want to use an SSL connection, specify an SSL certificate file.

10) Windows Service Information
