6.2 Acquainting E-Mail Users with the Notes Gateway

After you have started the Notes Gateway, GroupWise users and Notes users need only the following information in order to start using the gateway immediately:

6.2.1 Addressing Messages

If you plan to set up directory synchronization and exchange, as described in Section 7.1, Enabling Directory Synchronization and Exchange, GroupWise users can select Notes users from the GroupWise Address Book and Notes users can select GroupWise users from a Notes version of the GroupWise Address Book.

If you do not plan to set up directory synchronization and exchange, you must explain to GroupWise users how to add Notes users to their personal address books, as described in Adding Individual Notes Users to Personal Address Books. You must also explain to both GroupWise users and Notes users how to manually type addresses in the To field of messages.
