Starting and Stopping Services from the Command Line

We recommend using the browser-based tools outlined in Overview of Management Tools for managing all NNLS services. However, if you need to stop or start services from the command line, use the following command:

/etc/init.d/script_name command

where script_name and command are any of the values listed in the Script Name and Commands columns in Table 6.

You should always ensure that Tomcat (novell-tomcat4) is running when the Apache Web server (novell-httpd) is started.
