To use the NOWS SBE 2.0 VMware* Virtual Appliance, you first need to install VMware software capable of running VMware virtual machines on the host system.
The host system can include Mac OS X, Linux, or Windows. Compatible VMware software includes VMWare Infrastructure*, VMware Server*, VMware Fusion* (for Mac OS X), VMware Player*, and others.

After properly installing and configuring VMware software on your host system, download the NOWS SBE 2.0 VMware Virtual Appliance.
Follow these instructions to download the Virtual Appliance:
For Mac OS X and Linux operating systems, run the following command to complete the extraction: tar xfz nowssbe20_i386.tar.gz
The files extract the Virtual Appliance tar.gz to a directory called nowssbe20_i386/
What follows is the supported way to run the virtual machine.

Follow these instructions to start and run the virtual machine:
IMPORTANT: If the NOWS SBE 2.0 Web configuration system is inaccessible at the provided Web address or if the address that appears is http://127.0.0.1, you must further configure your VMware network.
