Installing a New Novell Small Business Suite Server

Novell^® Small Business Suite includes a full range of products. If you are installing a new server, you must start with installing or upgrading the operating system. OES NetWare^® 6.5 is the operating system that is included in this suite.

Installing a Novell Small Business Suite server is very similar to installing a NetWare 6.5 server with the following additions:

• The Novell Small Business specific files are copied to the server with any of the selected server types. These files provide the functionality for some of the special configurations provided in the Small Business Suite.
• You have two additional server types patterns to choose from. For details, see Novell Small Business Collaboration Server with Virtual Office (Recommended) and Novell Small Business Collaboration Server.
• With the customized server option, you can choose to copy specific files and components. For details and recommendations, see Customized NetWare Server.

This chapter describes how to install a new Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 server. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Novell Small Business Suite or NetWare, see Upgrading the Operating System to Novell Small Business Suite 6.6.
