Setting Up Workstations for Users

Setting up workstations to access the network can vary depending on the services that you want available on them. Traditionally, we have recommended connecting to the server through the Novell® ClientTM software. This software is available for Window 95/98 and Windows NT/XP/2000. With the advanced file services available in NetWare today, other options are also available, such as connecting using the Novell Native File Access Protocols, Virtual Office, OpenSSH, or NetWare® Remote Manager. Users can also use the VPN client available through BorderManager® to access many of the services from remote locations whether at home or traveling.

Additional tasks might include setting up iPrint clients, iFolder® clients, making sure the users are familiar with the functionality of virtual office, and so forth.
