After you've completed the upgrade, you can remove the following objects from eDirectory:
Although the old CommerceService for server_name object is no longer used, the object class is. During installation, a new commerceService object, named OnDemandService, is created.
In addition, the schema changed significantly from OnDemand Services 1.5 to OnDemand Services 2. The primary reason for the schema changes was to support the ability to assign multiple applications to a single Package object. Most changes consisted of new attributes to existing classes (objects) or new classes. However, a few attributes are no longer used on the following classes:
These attributes are still stored in the classes, but are not used and are not viewable on the Package object (commerecPackage class) pages and the OnDemandService object (commerceService class) pages. If you want to remove these attributes from your eDirectory schema:
Remove the data from the obsolete attributes for each Package object. To do so:
In ConsoleOne®, right-click a Package object > click Properties to display the Package object's pages.
Click the Other tab.
Select one of the following attributes in the Attributes list:
Expand the selected attributes tree to display its data values.
Delete the data values.
Click OK to save the changes to the Package object.
Remove the data from the commerceCurrencyDecimals attribute for the OnDemandService object by following the same process outlined in Step 1.
Wait a few days to ensure that synchronization of replicas throughout your system is complete.
Use the Schema Manager (ConsoleOne > Tools menu > Schema Manager) to remove the attributes listed in Step 1.c and Step 2.
