This guide was updated to the Novell documentation standards for OES 2 SP2. In addition, updates were made to the following section. The changes are explained below.

A.8.1 Configuring File System Trustees, Trustee Rights, Inherited Rights Filters, and Attributes

Section 6.9, Using the Rights Utility to Set Trustee Rights for the NSS File System

In addition, the user running the rights command must have sufficient permissions to be able to set a new trustee or trustee rights to the user or group object for the file or directory specified.

This and other NSS utilities are located in the /opt/novell/nss/sbin directory.

A.8.2 Managing Folders and Files on NSS Volumes

Deleting a File or Folder on an NSS Volume or NCP Volume

Beginning in OES 2 SP2, it is possible to delete a non-empty folder. Previously, you had to delete all of the folder’s contents before deleting the folder.

Step 3 in Section 9.2, Setting a Directory Quota in iManager

Beginning in OES 2 SP2, the Files and Folders plug-in to iManager allows directory quotas to be specified in KB, MB, GB, or TB. Previously and in other tools, directory quotas must be specified in KB.
