Installing Policy and Distribution Services on NetWare and Windows Servers

The following changes were made in this section:

Location Change

Installing Policy and Distribution Services (see Step 3)

Added the following note to clarify creating External Subscribers:

IMPORTANT:  The Installation Wizard requires an eDirectory context for placing Subscriber objects. If you add a Windows server from a Microsoft* domain that does not have an eDirectory object, in another wizard page you will be asked to browse and select an eDirectory context where the Subscriber object can be created that will be associated with the Windows server. However, if you only intend for this Windows server to be used as an External Subscriber, then do not install the Subscriber object and software at this time. Instead, you can later install the Subscriber software locally on that machine (which will not have a Subscriber object), then create the External Subscriber object in ConsoleOne. For more information, see Sending Tree-to-Tree Distributions in Configuring Policy and Distribution Services in Policy and Distribution Services in the Administration guide.

Installing Policy and Distribution Services

Added two new steps, one for clarifying how to continue with installing subsequent sets of Subscribers if installing incrementally (see Step 29 on page 60), and the other for clarifying which section to continue with next (see Step 5).
