Load at the server console to allow console access to the server by using RConsoleJ.
[LOAD] RCONAG6 [[-E Epassword] | [ password]] [ TCP Port] [ SPX Port] [ENCRYPT]
| Parameter | Use to |
|---|---|
(no parameter) |
Load RCONAG6 without command line parameters. You will be prompted for a password, TCP port number, and SPXTM port number. |
-E |
Specify that an encrypted password will be used in the command line. You can't use this parameter until you have loaded RCONAG6 using the ENCRYPT option and noted the encrypted value of the password on the console screen. This parameter is used in the ldrconag6.ncf file (if you decide to create the file when using the ENCRYPT option). |
Epassword |
Specify the encrypted password you want administrators of the remote server to use. RCONAG6 requires either a password or an encrypted password. You obtain this password by loading RCONAG6 using the ENCRYPT option and noting the encrypted password on the console screen. |
password |
Specify the password you want administrators of the remote server to use. RCONAG6 requires either a password or an encrypted password. Note: The user ADMIN password doesn't allow remote access unless it is set as the password when you load RCONAG6. |
TCP Port |
Specify the TCP port number on which RCONAG6 will listen for RConsoleJ or a proxy server. The default is 2034. -1 disables TCP listening. 0 allows a dynamically assigned port to be used. |
SPX Port |
Specify the SPX port number on which RCONAG6 will listen for a proxy server. The default is 16800. -1 disables SPXTM listening. 0 allows a dynamically assigned port to be used. |
ENCRYPT |
Encrypt the password and create sys:system\ldrconag.ncf if desired. |
To optimize security, use an encrypted password when loading RCONAG6.
To encrypt the password, type:
RCONAG6 ENCRYPT
The system prompts you for a password to encrypt. Enter the password.
The system displays the encrypted value and a message asking if the LOAD RCONAG6 command should be written to the sys:system\ldrconag.ncf file.
If you respond Yes, the system places a LOAD RCONAG6 command into the sys:system\ldrconag.ncf file with the encrypted password as a parameter. You can then execute this file to load the RCONAG6 module with the encrypted password.
