Use at a workstation or server to gain access to a local or remote server's console through an IP connection.
NOTE: RConsoleJ will not allow access to a server if the network administrator has not enabled RConsoleJ connections using RCONAG6.
During an RConsoleJ session, you can load and unload modules and execute console commands. You cannot transfer files to or from a server.
IMPORTANT: For security reasons, this version of RConsoleJ must be used only inside firewalls.
You can launch RConsoleJ using any of the following methods.
The user ADMIN password doesn't allow remote access unless you set it as the password when you load RCONAG6.
NOTE: Graphical screens are not displayed in remote console utilities. When the utility launches, if a graphical screen is displayed on the server console screen, the System Console screen is displayed in the remote view. After a remote console session starts, if someone at the server console switches to a graphical screen, the switch is not reflected on the remote screen.
Access the drop-down list of target server console screens Alt+F1 Cycle to the next target server console screen Alt+F2 Cycle to the previous target server console screen Alt+F3Syntax
