PROVO, Utah Dec. 09, 2003 — Responding to strong demand for its inaugural Advanced Technical Training (ATT) conference, Novell has added another conference Jan. 21-23 in Provo, Utah. The first "Novell ATT Live" conference takes place in Provo Dec. 15-17, and will be kicked off by Nat Friedman, vice president of product development for Novell Ximian Services and a leading visionary in the open source movement.

Novell's ATT courses are the most advanced training offered by the company. While product-specific ATT courses have been offered publicly since 1995, Novell concluded that an intensive, hands-on experience across a breadth of technologies and held at Novell's headquarters would provide a superior learning experience. Customers agreed, with the inaugural conference selling out quickly. The conference offers over 40 hands-on sessions by Novell ATT instructors not normally offered in Novell's public training schedule. Attendees also have the opportunity to interact with Novell instructors, product teams, and developers on the Provo campus.

"Novell solutions are being deployed to address increasingly complex customer business challenges, from integrating disparate systems to securing corporate information to leveraging open source in enterprise environments," said Daniel Veitkus, vice president of worldwide training services for Novell. "As we move more aggressively into the Linux space, including launching our Novell Certified Linux Engineer program worldwide in early 2004, we're seeing a growing interest in learning about Novell's offerings. Graduates of Novell's training courses will gain the skills they need to truly maximize the power of Novell's technology for their organizations."
