To check effective rights to a file or folder

1. Browse to the file or folder, or to a volume if you want to check effective rights at the file system root.
2. Right-click the file, folder, or volume choose Properties Trustees Effective Rights.
3. If the object whose effective rights you want to check isn't shown in the Trustee field, click the browse button next to the field browse for and select the trustee you want click OK.
