About Controlling Access to Files and Folders

You can control access to the files and folders on a NetWare* volume by making trustee (explicit rights) assignments, filtering rights inheritance, and setting attributes. Rights to a file or folder can be different for each user, whereas attributes and filters apply globally.

• To grant or deny explicit rights to a file or folder
• To delete a trustee assignment
• To block (filter) inherited rights to a file or folder
• To check effective rights to a file or folder
• To set file or folder attributes
