NetWare Link/ATM

The NetWare Link/ATMTM software is contained in the Novell® Internet Access Server 4.1 routing software. NetWare Link/ATM allows network protocols, such as IP, to communicate over ATM networks.

NetWare Link/ATM supports source route bridging software and AppleTalk, IP, and Internetwork Packet ExchangeTM (IPXTM) protocols.

RFC 1483, Multiprotocol Encapsulation over ATM Adaptation Layer 5, describes two encapsulation methods for carrying bridged or routed data over ATM: VC-based multiplexing and LLC encapsulatio. The method used is signaled during call setup.
